"Rangiku... wake up." Arinyu's soft voice floated into her consciousness. She opened her eyes and blinked at the inky blue sky etched with stars. She remembered she was in the middle of a faraway forest, camping out with the 23rd patrol corps.
"Good morning sunshine," sitting with her knees gathered at her chest, Arinyu greeted her mockingly.
Rangiku propped herself up on her elbows and scanned gloomy surroundings. Sullen looking shinigami had crowded around their fire, eyeballing the both of them impassively. "Some sunshine." She remarked, fully sitting up, popping her neck from side to side after a long yawn. "Did you sleep well?"
"Of course. Better than you, I'm sure." She took her stand, gesturing Rangiku to follow.
Rangiku complied after a short stretch of her limbs. "If you ask me, I wish I could sleep in a bit more."
"Oh I have no doubts about that."
Rangiku was suddenly curious. "Why did you say that?"
Arinyu's tightly pursed lips hid a smirk, "don't

Deception, some say a concept invented by humans and adopted by Shinigami, was only mastered by the Arrancar. With lives unaffected by time, with instinct driving them towards cannibalism and the endless struggle for power, they alone gave themselves freely and wholly to the web that deceit spins, making their homes on the delicate strings, aware yet uncaring of the risks that came with perching themselves aloft on such a fragile foundation. For some, it was a net that secured their position, hoisting them high, bringing them closer to the apex of power. For others, it was the webbing that one day fell out from beneath their feet, plunging them into the abyss.
And in no place did deception breed more openly than in the Ciudad de la Luz.
The City of Light: a gleaming sanctuary of ivory-white pillars rising above the blanched horizon of Hueco Mundo. But like an oasis, its brilliance was an illusion. It was a place of shadows that did not fear the light, and whispers spoken openly between

It continued raining as all was quiet with the exception of Rukia, who is still sobbing, her face buried in Ichigo's chest. It appeared to be a tragic day indeed...
Then, something happened. The rain suddenly transformed into powerful beams of light that rain down onto the balcony floor. Rukia stopped crying and looked confused as to what was occurring. In that instant, Ichigo's body became surrounded by fog and levitated into the air, as if by magic! Ebisu, Kisuke, and Unohana watched in awe and shock.
Rukia backed away with her eyes wide in astonishment as Ichigo floated in mid-air. His cape wrapped around him as he started glowing. Ichigo's claws turned into normal human hands. His skin turned from white to normal pale, his black tattoos and horns disappeared, and his sharp teeth turned into

Chapter 15: Confession. Part 2
Byakuya was in a daze when he left his bed. In his head, her words and her look of betrayal played in repeat.
"Byakuya sama." He halted outside of his living quarter. His awaiting loyal servant bowed respectfully, "breakfast is ready."
"Very well." He muttered indifferently.
"And lady Suzume had sent another messenger. As usual I will tell him you're busy."
For a moment Byakuya wavered. The already unpunctual start of the day abolished his need for timekeeping.
"No." He whirled for a detour, "I'll see him." He advanced towards main building, ignoring the unspoken questions in the surprised man's look.
"A letter for you, from Lady Suzume." The messenger bowed with his hand extended. As expected Suzume's letter was beautifully knotted with a red ribbon. He dispassionately scanned through her politely worded invitation to tea.
"Should I return later for a response, Byakuya sama?" The messenger asked following his long pause.

Good-bye. GrimmIchiThe moment Grimmjow watched his and Ichigo's son be rushed behind the double doors of the E.R. was the very moment he knew his son wasn't coming back alive. Yet, for the sake of Ichigo and his own psyche he continued to say everything would be fine while he held Ichigo close to him and rubbed his shoulder.Good-bye. GrimmIchi by DeadPoet4lyfe
An hour had passed, and then another, before the doctor came before Grimmjow still dressed in the scrubs that, with no doubt in his mind, were covered in his son's blood. The doctor held a solemn expression as he separated Grimmjow from Ichigo to deliver the news that Grimmjow expected, but wasn't quite ready to hear.
He placed a hand on Grimmjow's shoulder and almost whispered the apology for not being able to revive his son. Grimmjow searched the doctors' eyes for a better answer, for a sign that told him that this was sick joke and that his son was alright. The doctor removed his hand from Grimmjow's shoulder and gave more inaudible condolences as he walked off.
